5th Annual Photo Maui Juried Exhibition

Calling all Maui County photographers:

Do you want the chance to win photo gear, software, hardware, cash and other cool stuff, plus help Maui County's keiki in the process? Pull out your camera, get shooting, print out your best shots and enter Photo Maui.

Last year, Photo Maui brought in over $1,000 in donations for the Lahaina Arts Association’s Children's Art Outreach Program. This 501(c)3 charity provides free art classes for underprivileged kids throughout Maui County. Photo Maui paid for two-months of classes for our Island's keiki. This year, our goal is to triple last year's amount.

Photo Maui’s 2011 Sponsors donated some amazing prizes this year.  Winning photographers have a chance to win prizes from Hahnemuhle Fine Art, Magna Chrome, Alien Skin Software, Western Digital, Pictures Plus, Picture it Framed, Breathing Color, Nik Software, Maui Plastics, Ultimate Whale Watch, Maui Digital Imaging, Maui Island Giclee, THK Photo Products, and many more.

So get off the couch and bring your best work because this year’s jurors are three of Maui’s most famous photographers:
David Fleetham, Ron Dahlquist and
Douglas Hoffman
.

Eligibility:
Photographers must be 18 years of age or older and a current Maui County resident. All submissions must be the original work of the applicant, completed without the aid of an instructor, and within the last 12 months. No pieces larger than 16X20 (or 320 sq.-in.) will be allowed. Every piece must minimally be mounted in a frame or on stretcher bars. All pieces must be "ready to hang" with eye screws or D-Rings and a wire hanger. Any pieces that are not ready-to-hang with a wire hanger will be disqualified. Entry fee is $10 per piece, and each photographer may submit up to 4 pieces total for the following categories: COLOR, MONOCHROME or DIGITALLY ENHANCED. Definitions of each category are detailed below. Each category will be divided into two divisions, ENTHUSIAST and PROFESSIONAL. The Professional division is defined as any photographers who have sold an image online, at a gallery or at a venue. All entry fees and proceeds benefit the Lahaina Arts Association's Children's Art Outreach Program.
